Can you attached a parametric point to a plane?

I don't see a way to accomplish this correctly. A trainer said you can click a nominal plane label and it will parametrically move the the actual plane. It doesn't work for me.

Can this be done? I prefer to use a surface point on a real surface, but there are many times a point on a plane would be nice. I've used a 3 point circle to make a 'fake' plane point.

Thanks.

Hello Tim,

the point clicked on the plane is not parametric. After you click a point and it has the little guy symbol in front of the coordinates, it is not a parametric point.

An approach would be a fitting point with RMB on the nominal plane -> restore point selection -> Measuring principle referenced construction. It will be fitted from the points of the Mesh selection, so if the mesh is denser to one side the point position will be shifted towards this side.

Regards,
Nanno
