Virtual Clamping application problem

Hello every GOM experts:

When I applied the virtual clamping function in a recent inspection project, I found that when using the Mesh -- Virtual clamping -- By Clamping point to complete the VC mesh , the result of the hole position detection (the measurement principle is the gray value feature) is in There will be abnormalities under RPS alignment, and the deviation will be very large. The results of other surface points or hole position detection (the measurement principle is non-gray value features such as projected offset sections) are normal. What is the reason?

Hi,

only an educated guess: The grayvalue features for virtual clamped projects shall be created with the 'Measuring principle' Mesh adaptation. Therefore the "result elements" can move with the deformed mesh.

If this not work out you must conatct your local GOM partner.

Hope this helps?!

Regards,

Bernd
