How can we know the error percetage of our DIC measurements? is there any quanttive value that can be exported?

Hi,

We are constantly using DIC for displacement measurments in composite materials. Is there any way to find the level of error in measurements either globally or locally.

Can we use the scale deviation of calibration results as an indicator for error of measurements?

Hi Isa,

The error within a DIC measurement can't be defined so easily that you receive a value as an error for your measurement. The inaccuracy depends on many different factors. Those factors aren't stable, too. They can change even during a measurement series. I would recommend to do a static measurement to receive the noise behavior.

Please read the following FAQ article which describes this topic more detail. https://connect.gom.com/x/pa3VAg

If you have further questions, feel free to ask.

Greetings, Ivan
