Angle of a cone

Here is what I did as a temporary solution. I am looking to get the angle of a countersink hole.

I measured the ellipse intersection of the top plane and the cone.

I created a plane 1mm under the top plane.

I measured another ellipse interesection of this plane and the cone.

With a known distance of 1mm in height and a known difference in both diameters I can create the angle of the cone with user defined parameters:

Hi,

may be I misunderstood you but why don't you use simply the 'angle' token from the cone in a user defined expression (or with some small formulas you can double the angle). You do not have to create further elements if you only need them for the angle calculation.

See the attached image

Bernd

I'm an idiot, I can't believe I didn't see that you could measure the cone with a right click. I do need to double it for our output but this helps alot.

Thank you.
