Mesh editing- fixing bumps in curvature surface

Hi!

I have some parts with wear and I'm trying to reverse engineer later, but the mesh has some bumps, does anyone know how could I try to make a smooth surface in here with? I have tried deleting those parts of the mesh and slowly reconstructing with the close holes tool but it's not that good.

My experience tells me the place to do this is with the reverse engineering tool (software) you are using.
