STEP import without colour information

We receive STEP files with colour information representing different surface finish requirements. For the inspection within GOM Inspect 2022, these colours are rather distrurbing than helpful.

Is it possible to omit the color information while importing STEP files?

Hi,

you can simply apply your own rendering color after the import ('Display' options in the 'Properties' tab if you have selected the CAD in the explorer).

Nevertheless, keep in mind: You can't use the imported colors afterwards to apply different tolerances easily to different CAD patches anymore if you use one unique color.

Hope this helps?!

Regards,

Bernd

Perfect!

We do not use colour information to communicate tolerance information. So removing colors is ok.
