[Br...] Posted April 19 Share Posted April 19 Good morning all, Attempting to combine and isolate the chosen sections so that I can inspect/ present only the chosen area. I thought the "Create Element Group" would be suitable for this, even after reading the description in the tech guide, but it states "only geometric elements are supported" . [Na...] Posted April 19 Share Posted April 19 Hi Brian, the use case for an element group would be to group several elements and analyse them for min/max values for example, or for gd&t inspections. You could create a patch compound from this selection https://techguide.zeiss.com/en/zeiss-inspect-2023/article/cmd_primitive_create_patch_compound_from_cad.html Depending on your inspection, it is only carried out on the selected surface (surface comparison or material thickness for example) Nanno Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
