Hello,

Is it true that angle measurement according to ISO 14405-3 is not supported yet?

If so, are there any plans to do this in the near future?

Best regards,

Hello,

this feature has been added with GOM Software 2021. The new checks can be found in the GD&T section of our I-Inspect tool. If you want inspect angular size on other elements as a cone you have to create a specialized fitting element first (similar to the creation of linear size on parallel planes). This new element is called Wedge.

Construction could be something like this

  1. Create Plane A in both nominal and actual
  2. Create Plane B in both nominal and actual
  3. Create an Wedge (Construction->2-Plane-Wedge) on Nominal using your nominal plane
  4. Create the actual Wedge using measuring principle "Referenced construction"
  5. Select the nominal wedge in the explorer and use the GD&T section of the I-Inspect tool to create an angular size.

Hope this helps,
