Material thickness comparison against nominal - GOM Inspect Pro

Is there a way to compare the actual material thickness to the nominal wall thickness for a variable wall part?

I can create a wall thickness surface for a given element, but I would like to see how the wall thickness deviates from nominal. The only option I can see to do this uses the tool below. 

The problem with this method is that it compares the wall section of the part to a set nominal material thickness. This assumes the part has uniform wall thickness over the part. Whereas I need to locally compare the wall thickness of the CAD model to the wall thickness of the actual.

Hello Caleb,

after you create the material thickness on your CAD, you can assign the measuring principle "referenced construction" to it. Then use I-Inspect to check the nominal material thickness for "material thickness comparison on actual":
